rambólika is a vibrant documentary about Chelo, a trans non-binary artist, queer mother, and performer who transforms her rural Spanish town with techno, painting, and radical joy. Alongside her partner, acclaimed artist Okuda San Miguel, Chelo creates inclusive spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community, from electrifying DJ sets to public art interventions.
Her journey takes her from ELROW Town Madrid to Berlin’s queer underground, until she is unexpectedly invited to host her own Holi party in her conservative hometown. What begins as a celebration becomes a powerful act of healing and visibility, not just for Chelo, but for the filmmaker, a Venezuelan immigrant in Spain who finds his own story reflected in hers.
Blending rural memory, queer resistance, and artistic transformation, Trambólika is a luminous portrait of resilience and chosen family, a film about turning personal truth into collective celebration.
